Tego is proud to announce that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named April Lemon as a finalist in the Rising Star category of the 2025 CRN Women of the Year Awards.

This honor recognizes April’s commitment to innovation and excellence through her extraordinary transition from her distinguished military career to becoming an essential contributor and leader in cybersecurity and compliance auditing at Tego.
This is the third annual CRN Women of the Year Awards, which spotlight extraordinary women, companies, and allies who demonstrate dedication to advancing the IT industry through their leadership and initiatives each day. The winners of the Women of the Year Awards will be announced at the Awards Gala on December 9, 2025, in New York City.
April joined Tego in 2024 as an Audit and Advisory Associate and quickly became a valuable asset to the Tego Advisory Services Team, notably contributing to the successful SOC 2 attestations for two significant Tego clients in her first year. She played a pivotal role in Tego achieving its internal ISO 27001 certification and now leads the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) operations, showcasing her outstanding leadership and rapid professional growth. April has extended her expertise into the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) space, where she actively assists Organizations Seeking Compliance (OSCs) with navigating complex regulatory requirements.
“April’s growth has been impressive to watch,” said Greg Manson, VP of Tego Advisory Services. “In just a year, she has gone from SkillBridge intern to a trusted leader in our compliance practice, driving key certifications and earning the respect of the clients and teammates she works with. We are proud to see her recognized as a Rising Star.”
April was honorably discharged from active duty in the U.S. Army, receiving the Good Conduct Medal for exemplary service. During her final year in service, she effectively managed Communication Security operations as a Communications Security Account Manager, leading rigorous audits that resulted in satisfactory ratings during Communications Security Logistics Activity (CSLA) audits. April’s outstanding military service was consistently recognized, with leadership commending her as being in the top 10% of her peer group and possessing “unlimited potential.”
